Connection Failed Message for VEP

Posted

Hi all,

I'm trying to use Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 with Synfire Pro but keep getting a connection failed message?

This is on the same computer on the same network "127.0.0.1" and my connections work fine with no Master and Slave channel configuration mismatch on other DAWS.

I've loaded VEP as a AU Plug-in in Synfire Pro like normal.  Both are running 64 bit on my Mac.

I would like to use Synfire Pro & Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 but not really sure why I could not connect to server "127.0.0.1" and it on the same computer?

I'm getting a Master and Slave channel configuration mismatch as there both using the same output 1 + 2.

If anyone can help me configure this to work I would really appreciate it!

The channel configuration mentioned in the error message is not related to the Audio Engine's output settings.

As far as I understand, it's the plug-in's audio channels. That is, the VEP Audio Unit you run in Synfire. You'll need to make sure the other end uses the same channels. Stereo probably.

I'll try that out and maybe I missed the part about VEP Event Input.

It's all a bit confusing to me anyway because there is quite a bit gong on with both setups.

Thanks for the help.  I'll keep messing around with it some more.
