We received reports that with the latest updates (Windows only), MIDI output is delayed up to several seconds and more. This was observed with both Synfire and Harmony Navigator. Mac doesn't seem to be concerned. We suspect issues with how our software deals with the system clock for synchronization and need some more feedback from you, so this can be narrowed down.
If you can provide feedback, please chime in:
- Which version of Windows do you run
- What CPU type and speed is your PC
- What other software is running in parallel to HN2 (or Synfire)
- Does this delay occur with Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth ("Internal GM Synth") only, or also with external synths connected via MIDI Loopback?
- Do you experience the delay also with VST plug-ins (Synfire only)?

With the help of user feedback through email, we were able to fix this issue now. Thanks to everyone for your input.
