"through midi out"

Posted

hi andre,

I want to get "through midi out" from the cognitone drone to my "internal synths"

Is this possible , or when not - is ist planed ?

I think this is a feature that is "standard" of plugins, and i think that you have implimented this, but i can not rout the midi in datas "going to drone"  -> forward to the next synth in my logic invironment.

This is not a bug !!!

A wish or so , ... dont know it by myself now, and ... i explained, that i think - its a user mistake by my side.

(sorry, that i write again because the "drone" ... ) The Engine is verry great ! And i use it almost, but so for now ... there i want route the midi data from the "engine" to an "EXS-24" for example.

best regards,

michael

greetings, michael

EXS-24 is a logic "internal" Sample plugin... The "Environment" allowed midi forwarding - but when i do that with "drone" - ... no midi datas "forwarded" (or i made a mistake by my side)

Logic has never been good at routing midi internally, most likely because AudioUnits do not support midi output (VST do). Many developers have repeatedly urged Apple to consider adding midi out to AU plugins, to no avail.

Therefore I'm afraid there is no way to forward the output of a drone to other tracks in Logic.  This works best with VST based hosts, like Live and Reaper.

You would need to use MIDI ports for this, as with the old version 1.2.
