Is it possible to define your own chords?

Does the app allow users to define their own chords?

Yes, of course. You may freely edit the tonality catalog, which is kind of a knowledge base used by HN.

It is also possible to rename existing chords, add scales and modes, etc.

That's great. Thanks.

One follow up question. After looking at the demo, it seems that the database keeps track of a set of functional relationships between chords.

If one were to define a new chord, how would they go about defining the function of the chord with respect to other chords?

Thanks again.

Harmonic function is determined automatically according to the theory of Hugo Riemann.

Should the chord consists of subsets, each of which make up some triad, the functions of these triads are considered "sencondary" functions of the chord, i.e. not so prominent but being an audible subset / re-interpretation of the chord ("secondary" is not the correct term here, though)
