HI
I know you're probably very busy with your own development priorities but here's something that might give you back some $$$ for the effort..
How about a HN iPhone/iTouch port? Maybe cut down a bit .... but with a couple of built in sounds. It's a perfect match.
I've read reports that the most popular downloads at the App store are doing thousands per week, and the most popular lists often show things like the Pocket Guitar, Band ie music apps!
if a HN app went for $4.99 you'd stand to make a killing! Probably pull people towards the real thing too!
Besides .... I'd love it!! ;-))))

Yep, cool idea.
The issue however is the iPhone screen is way to small for this kind of browser. I guess only six to ten chords would fit on it. And without enough room for the circle of fifth, a fretboard and/or keyboard, HN would be not very useful for songwriting.

Yeah ... the screen is small.
But, imagine an interface that let you choose say a genre (rock, jazz, classical), a mood (happy, sad,... ie tempo and key) then shows (as you say ) 10-12 chords that can be played and recorded. Perhaps then a MIDI file could be emailed out to be played and edited elsewhere...
It wouldn't be aimed at serial musical types. But instead the casual user looking for a creative interlude on the bus.
I'd buy it it a flash. And so would thousands of others...
It wouldn't be HN ... but it would be fun... and you would get repaid for your great efforts. The stuff that's selling out there is awful.... this would be great!
And then the benefits would then pass on to the real HN ... and us!
Think about it!! ;-)
