Strange Behavior IAC Bus Reaper-Synfire

Posted

Hi

I am trying to record the midi of reaper directly into synfire by IAC Bus Mac

See the gif video,i think that all the connection needed to record are good but when i play record in the transport of synfire the cursor of reaper begins, jump to the bar number 69904.3.0 instead 1.1.0

What am i doing wrong or is a bug because with ableton recording in synfire also by IAC bus works perfect?

Regards

You should disable midi through, using the midi icon on top toolbar. IAC is a loopback, that fires back everyting it receives.

Try disabling the metronome count in in Synfire.

Many DAW can not move their playhead left of the beginning of the song.

Hi

GUAUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!  Supertonic you are great!!! The problem is solved, now works perfect!!!

Every time I open synfire the configuration of Audio & Midi Settings comes to thr default :

Measure: 1 pre roll... then i must change to Measure:0 Disable box checked and then Audio & Midi Settings window-File-   Save Rack & Setup (Comand+S) ?  Then it would open synfire with this new settings?

*- When i record in this way by IAC Bus 1 into synfire a new Take is recorded and appears a One phrase written in red : "Last Take" in the top left of the phrase editor, how can i turn off, erase this Last Take red phrase?

I have one curiosity:

In Audio & Midi Settings in the inputs Tab,in the port Driver IAC Bus 1 what must happens if i disable the checkbox Loopback ?

Save the global rack after you changed the metronome settings (File -> Save).

You can not remove the 'Last Take'. It goes away after a minute.

The 'Loopback' switch does not have much effect yet. Will be important in a future release to protect from MIDI feedback.
