Auto-correction of progressions always on?

Posted

I have a problem with the progression editor reinterpreting all my harmonies even with "auto-correct" unticked.

I open the progression editor by double clicking in an arrangement. I make sure auto-correct is unticked. But when I change a chord, synfire changes all the keys and scales in the whole progression as if it was doing an "auto-correct".

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Tim

It does correct the scales and keys of the chord you are editing (harmonic context), but it should not touch the other chords in the progression.

I just checked this and could not reproduce it with a standalone progression editor. This seems to be a bug in the arrangement environment only. No idea why this happens, but we will fix it.

Thanks for reporting it!

Yes - that is what happens. I think it should not change the keys and scales with autocorrect off.

The checkbox did not set the correct state. This was fixed now for the next update.

In the meanwhile you can use the linear vector view and the inspector (arrage window) as a workaround.
