Default file paths greyed out

Posted

Hi - I tried a quick search on this in the forum but couldn't find an answer.
Trying to change the default file path in the edit:preferences:files dialog for the Documents file path, but this is greyed out.

How do I do this?
Many thanks in advance.

That path is where HN originally installed its example documents. It can not be changed and is shown for your information only.

We plan on doing a general overhaulconcerning the way files, folders and projects are handled. It should be easier for the user to move files around.

HN2 will already have an editable user projects folder.

well, with every update HN2 creates a folder under my old user name and puts the examples in there.

And I had an examples folder in my project directory too.

This is not a problem. but it IS very confusing. Especially if you have changed users or machines.

Is there still some eop (ease of pain;-) coming in regards of finding files/projects ?

You can set your own projects folder in global preferences now. Move all files to there and you are done.
