At the risk of sounding daft, I am working from a manual that is dated february 2008. Is there an up to date manual, as I am really struggling with this program? The manual says a palette comes up when you open HN but a song comes up loaded with c chords that I can't seen to delete.
the audio and midi set up appears to be different as well.

The version 2 manual PDF should have been installed with the HN2 program. The latest version should appear when you open it from the Help menu.
Which version do you have installed?
BTW: Double-click on the default chords. That will make a snapshot of them you can edit.
