Cool! How was your workflow? I suppose that you played the phrases on a keyboard and transformed them within Synfire in several ways. Maybe you used the "simulate strumming" feature of Synfire here and there?

i started with a progression i liked from the chord palette. then i found phrases that i liked. i overdubed on these. i copied the orginial keyboard part for the percusion to give it some of the hits. i turned them brown for static sysmbols. then i overdubed. used a bassline from a trance tune i found. changed the chords by selecting all of them in a container and raising them all for a part.

cut and pasted several things for the guitar. thats about it. i keep running into a problem recording midi. some tracks play when i am trying to focus input on one track. still havnt figured out why.

Has some very interesting sections.  Did you copy/paste some of guitar rythm to bass for a bit,  in other areas the interplay of the bass an piano/guitar was excellent,

Yes, using phrases from elsewhere is also my favorite workflow. It's great fun, to transform them and combine them in a new way with Synfire. Thanks.

btw: your other track "JB Turdstep" is also very cool.

yes. there was pasting from all really. the interplay just kind of feel into place. its weird how that happens sometimes. i use all kinds of midi files. no midi is sacred. it all gets cut and pasted. just going for a live kind of jam vibe. i kind of miss playing in bands. so i thought i would make my own.

thanks Juergen. the current dubstep beiber fascination was too much to pass up. had to do it. wasnt received very well over at the IDM forum. dont know about those guys. then again i have probably gone overboard with the venetian snares Merzbow thing.

rock out.
