Prepurchase questions

Posted

Hi,

I've been demoing HN1 and have a few questions.

First, does one license permit both a desktop and laptop installation?

Second, when I've tried to import a midi file melody, the programs keeps saying the file is going to be truncated.

What is the maximum file size, in bars or whatever, that can be imported? Or is the truncation just a removal of empty bars in the original file?

Thanks.

Hi Prado,

one license allows two installations activated at the same time. So, yes, you can run it on your laptop and desktop.

I'm not 100% sure concerning the truncation, but I think it is because the track you import is longer than the target pattern. HN version 2 will have a limit at around 32 to 64 measures depending on tempo. That limit however is per part and import only. With multiple parts you can easily extend it.

Thank you Christian.

With respect to the current version, what is the maximum measures that can be imported?

I'm sure this is a minor issue, as I can always chop file and limit it to one verse or chorus of any melody.

Thank you for your prompt response.

I don't know exactly. You could test it this way: Extend the pattern length to 100 measures and see if the import is still truncated.

Concerning HN1 the import is a bit limited compared to the next version 2 that will support full polyphonic pattern recognition. If you purchase HN1 now, you will get the HN2 upgrade for free anyway.
