Often I'll have a container containing one instrument phrase (4 bars long). I copied it to a later measure.. but the container I'm moving becomes 'grouped' and it's length is shortened.
Right now, I ungroup the parent container, and the moved container regains it's correct length. Is this an intended action, or am I missing something?

You accidentally dropped the container inside another one.
Undo is your friend there ;-)

You can avoid this by dropping the container on the top space of the root container. It will be sorted to the right place automatically. Only the horizontal position is relevant.
Attempting to drop it somewhere "between" other containers will move it to inside another container most of the time.

....and to think I made thru four years of Latin in high school, If I wasn't having a senior moment, I swear this is more convoluted than Latin conjugations..
