vienna ensemble pro and syfire set up output to DAW

Posted

Hi guys,
I just read and follow the guide how to set up synfire with vienna ensemble pro. But i really want to ask how to make output of this connecting between synfire and vienna ensemble pro to DAW as final like master bus to preparing for mastering. Example: i done midi writing for my string parts of my orchestral song in synfire that connect to vienna ensemble pro servers with ton of pluggins like the set up for vienna ensemble pro posted in forum, by using VEp as mixing with vienna MIR PRO and MIRX, then i want to rewrite all of them to my DAW as master bus for string part to prepare for final mastering. Is that possible? Like i understanding, i use synfire as interface and vienna ensemble as servers to host multi pluggins. All mixing and will be done in vienna ensemble pro with vienna mir pro and mirx then i will tranfer all midi that be written in syfire to DAW as drone and also audio from pluggins hosted by vienna ensemble pro which already mixed. I tried the standard workflow that rewrite the engine to DAW drone but it cause bug. Any way or diagram to help out. Can you please guide?

As I understand, you have a Drone with VEP loaded, inside which you set up all your sounds and mixing?

Relocating these Drones to the DAW should work (see: (http://users.cognitone.com/tutorials/daw-sync-drones)).

If you want to finally get rid of the Drones after you have exported all composed MIDI to DAW tracks, you can save each VEP instance's state to disk, remove the Drone, load VEP into the DAW directly and restore its contents from the saved state. Then your project will be completely decoupled from Synfire.

Dear André, I found the solutions for this by changing the type of engine from AU to VST and the DAW received all midi well after all. Thanks alot
