Connection of chords progression.

Posted

As can be seen in the picture, there are 2 chord connections incorrect in this chord progression
The chord figure changes per 1 bar.
The chord connections would sound nicest if there was a small overlap between the chords ( so a setting for this ?)
With sustain chords it would be 1 chord per measure, but it should also work with 4 chords per 1 measure.

I do get a red vertical line in the phrase editor and the bass won't repeat it self over the progression now?
What interpretation settings to made when using this autochord/bass method used on separate symbols ?

Can the tutorial be updated for autochord/bass, because there is so much changed ?

Now you get the problem that in a chord progression, that the difference between one chord and another following it (almost?) cannot be heard through the voiceleading.
This is also not what you want.
- first know how to set the interpretation ?
- make differences in the chord progression for the chords that almost coincide

I based the making of the chords on the outdated tutorial.
Instead of auto chord or auto bass feature in Synfire, create your own chord figure.
Will take a closer look at the interpretation settings and compare them with those in the outdated auto chord/bass tutorial.
For sustain string chords, the standard chords ( triads) are already sufficient, so no sus or aug or dim, but inversions is ok
Maybe also the seventh chords, with these you get a 5 note chord.
Experiment further and aim for solid chord transitions.
