Importable Text Files for Korg Triton Plugin

Posted

Hi,

I wonder if anyone might perchance have importable text files listing the patches for the extra banks in the Korg Triton plugin.

These are the banks I mean:

and by "importable text file" I mean the file(s) which will work in Syfire here:

I'm trying to build out a good comprehensive Device Description for the Korg Triton plugin, but typing every single program in by hand is going to be too much to accomplish.

So, if anyone can share the files needed, I'll be sure to share-back the Device Description.

Thanks!

I have managed to find a good comprehensive .midnam file that matches up with the Korg Triton Extreme plugin.    File attached.     (I have not yet found one of similar quality for the Korg Triton plugin, but I have found pieces that I might be able to edit together for good effect when time allows.)

Very interesting janamdo, thanks for the link.

Can you say a bit about how this best fits in with the Synfire environment?

I haven't so far thought or done past the simple setup of using any given Korg plugin directly in a Synfire rack module.

I sense there might be great potential flexibility and efficiency gains here, but I'm not even sure how to think about configuring to realize them.

I think you can use this with the Komplete control keyboard mark 2 which supports Maschine software.
The successor keyboard Kontrol S-Series Mk3 no longer supports maschine software (just a quick read, so with this latest keyboard you no longer have any use for this maschine software ? )

So you have to use the old Komplete kontrol mk2 keyboard and you can use this korg Collection NKS on it.
Haven't installed it myself yet , but there is a komplete control vst which can be installed in Synfire to start using the Komplete contro keyboard with synfire

With the configuration I can't help you in Synfire, but you should start using the Komplete kontrol mk2 keyboard. ( I assume ? )
To what extent this setup will work with the snippets ?

OK, thanks.    I have plenty of keyboards here, and non-keyboard controllers, carefully chosen, so I won't be changing to an NKS keyboard.

I do have Kontact and was thinking along the line that I might be able to load the Korg modules in it and take advantage of the NKS classifications to more quickly construct, audition and save multi-timbral setups as-if Korg-in-Kontact were one gigantic multi-timbral (soft) synth.    As it happens, I've only spent very minimal time with Kontact so far, so I'm not even sure this is valid speculation.

On the soft side, I would like to come as close as possible to the flexibility I have with my Yamaha Motif XF, which is full of wonderful, vetted, multi-timbral  song setups that can I can choose from and switch between near-instantaneously.    Since Synfire addresses these via standard MIDI channels (now that I've got that setup) I can "change the whole band" with ease on the hw and not have to perturb Synfire at all to do it.  This is what I would like to achieve also with soft-synths, but I am not sure that is possible.  Certainly it is not directly possible, but might be with intervening tech.   I invite anyone who has achieved such to chime it with how they did it!

I am now downloading the latest version of komplete Kontrol via native access.
Going to see exactly how that works in Synfire and install maschine software as well.
Is it necessary to start using an NKS keyboard for maschine ?
Coincidentally then I do own the Komplete kontrol mk2 keyboard here.

That maschine software will probably be controllable via the Komplete Kontrol keyboard mk2
I have never installed this combination
The native access Maschine software version whether it is controllable via a controller other than the Komplete Kontrol keyboard mk2?

Yamaha Motif XF seems to me a super keyboard , you must own it to start thinking about your desired setup?
The forum that supports this Motif XF keyboard often has a lot of knowledge of keyboard setups as well

Yes, I own one and love it!
