Add a new rack/module destination ?

Composing with The Score VST via live performance on a MIDI controller keyboard and then recording the data from the 10 MIDI channels in real time is not yet possible in Synfire.

You can, however, record live using the MIDI controller keyboard in Synfire and import it into Synfire later, but that process is not intuitive and is laborious and static.

What I’m really trying to say is that live recording is a dynamic process for the 10 instruments in the The Score VST ensemble, whereas importing via a MIDI file is fairly static.

Since Synfire doesn’t yet support multi-track recording, you can’t yet compose live using the keyboard with all 10 MIDI tracks recording for The Score VST.

However, you can compose live in Synfire with The Score VST using a single track that can record chord progressions and melodies, but this is limited when it comes to creating a phrase library.

There is also a “free mode” that can override the fixed instrument assignments in The Score.

The Orchestra 4 VST also supports multi-track recording of MIDI tracks to record orchestral accompaniment sections all at once.

It's a shame that Synfire can't make The Orchestra VST work the way it does in a DAW

- MIDI export from The Orchestra working

That way, you could use complete 5-part orchestral accompaniments and compose with them live

At least ,10 multitrackrecording tracks possible for the Score Vst  and midi connection :-)
