I saw here on the board a couple of times the question if SF can be used for creating popsong.
I've created this snipet to show you all that it is possible, mind you it is work in progress, I'm not entirely satisfied with the chorus...
But, the important thing is here that the song is created with a new library started from scratch !
Comments welcome
if you like it and ask me nicely :-D i could share the library once it is finshed....

That's a nice work in progress.
Is the main melody meant to go with the accompaniment similar to the phrase played by the strings at around 0'54?

The forum system confuses 'submit' and 'preview'. It submits the post when I click 'preview' ('Vorschau').

Thanks, it is still evolving in function of the library that I'm creating.
At the moment I'm not yet convinced of that string section, I think it plays the chords to full (like a orchestra) for a popsong, so this could change.
The melody will depend on the lyrics ;)

By the way I couldn't play this in Safari 5.0.3 on MacbookPro OSX 10.6.6. I downloaded and played it however. Am I missing a Safari Plug-in?
Rony;
That's a nice start so far - Perky and exciting. I'd like to hear more bass. Regarding new sections, I find myself in a similar position. We have the power and tools to call up large registrations or instantly jump to a completely different group of instruments. Great for keeping the listener awake.. Getting from section to section, making it smooth and not too abrupt/jarring is a challenge sometimes. One trick I have discovered is to 'taper some instruments down. (thin out the notes they are playing as you get to the transition point) and gradually ramp the new instruments in. (for strings. start with single note melody and then over next several measures, let a 2nd, 3rd, part come in.
It isn't a cure-all but one good tool for dealing with several instruments.
