Exporting a song

Hello there

I need to know how to successfully transfer the instruments I hear in NH2 to midi file and then to Cubase.

I have a song with 6 instruments. If I change piano chords to guitar after I export there is nothing for that track.

If I have pads in the combo and do not like them. How can I change ethe instrument in NH2 to make sure I can open it in cubase.

I was able to change the default instrument for melody in NH2 from piano to guitar. When I opened the midi file in cubase I found could played it with a sampler, yet I could not do the same for pads or piano playing chords,

Otherwise I think your products are the BEST most intelligent software.

Thanks for your positive feedback.

The best way to transfer a song is to export it to standard midi file without any program changes and manually select the desired instruments in Cubase after the import. Disable "Use GM Sounds" and "Program Changes" on export.

Your quick reply is much appreciated. I tested it already. so far so good.

Now one more question. I see 6 tracks in my songs. All have figures. All track have an instrument and produce sound. After I export the midi file. I only see figures or events in 3 tracks. some tracks are being exported as part of the midi even if they are all available in NH2. On the screen shot you can see the tracks. After I am done exporting I only see 3 or 4.Why?Thanks again!

Perhaps the importing software does merge some tracks?

Do you have multiple instruements playing the same sound? They might get merged on import.

If I have two instruments with piano sounds they become merge? no because I am able to find just one piano track after export.

If I have 6 instruments in NH2 after in Cubase I only have 3 or 4. It annoys me.

Here I am sending a pic of what the guitar tracks look like in NH2. When I export midi file I get only 4, Guitar I never see any events. It is not being merged with other instruments. I really would like some ideas. I have tried everything. Help

 

 

This happens almost exclusively in one of the combos Nylon guitar and fret ballad. the one I use the most for composing. Could this be a bug?
