Feature request - piano roll view

I posted this in another thread but i realise hat it should be here.

It would be great to have a piano roll view perhaps at the end of the chain so that one can see some of the stuff Synfire is doing.

With low / sub bass notes I am guessing / unsure a lot of the time.

I understand that due to the prototyping element that it's not possible (I think) to just input notes on a piano roll willy nilly, however the 'available' notes could be shown over a piano roll, obviously if other parts of the composition change the note pitches then they move position in the piano roll as well. That wouldn't interfere with the prototyping schema would it?

That way it would give a much clearer indication of what things like variation are doing. . .
