I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I can't seem to get the keyboard shortcuts to work consistently. The pre-assigned shortcuts seem to work fine. But the shortcuts I try to assign either only work some of the time or do not work at all. For example, I'd like to be able to navigate the various tabs with shortcuts. I used Alt+X for the Structure tab. I can navigate to Structure consistently from the Overview and Matrix tabs. I can't navigate to Structure (or any other assignment I've made, it would seem) from Progression, Harmonizer, and Palette. Sometimes I can navigate from Library, and sometimes it doesn't work at all.
Some of the assignments I've made aren't working at all. For example, I've assigned Alt+Shift+W to Generate figures in the factory and Ctrl+H to Generate 10. Neither of these works. I've tried various combinations of keystroke and none of them are working to generate figures. These are just a few examples of what I've been experiencing. In the end, any key shortcut assignments I've made don't seem to work as intended.
A final request on these keyboard shortcut assignments. I really wish that Synfire would warn me if a keystroke assignment I've tried to make is already in use for another function. I know that Synfire isn't a DAW, but this is a standard feature in Studio One and in most DAWs I would imagine. There have been several occasions when I've made a keyboard shortcut assignment only to discover that it was already a default assignment for another function. If I'm unaware of this and make a duplicate assignment I think this leads to Synfire being confused sometimes as to what I want to do when I try to execute. Since Synfire does not notify me if the keyboard shortcut I want to use has already been assigned, this task becomes a tedious process of having to scroll through the entire list to see if the keystrokes I want to use has already been assigned before I use it. And even then sometimes I miss one. Please make this task a lot easier!
