midi export problems ?

Posted

tell me if i am doing something wrong please..

here is one thing im trying to achieve.

i would like to export a simple sustained harmony midi file that changes chords once per bar (nothing fancy)then import to cubase sx.

here is what i have done so far
1. open HN2
2. select a figure
3. choose interpretation : auto chords
4. pick chords for each of the measures. x8
5. choose inversion for every chord ( to see if midi file is correct)
6. export midi
7. open cubase
8. import midi.
9. check midi notes.
10. not one is ever correct

my question is why not?

Hi Erik,

what exactly do you mean by "not correct"? The midi export is a core feature that is tested and proven over and over, so I wonder what it is that missed your expectation. Timing? Pitch? Sound assignment? I need to know to help you. Thanks.

i was refering to the progression of inverted chords. they were not exporting the why i programmed. (it was a chord position issue) it wasnt exporting the correct inversion i chose etc.

but i think you addressed it in the other post.
ill do more extensive testing later and get back to you.

thank you!
