More melody control

Posted

Melody dictates a accompaniment ( combo) , but it not possible to control the melody (note data) in HN2?

There is no melody generator and no feedback with a accompaniment..seems to me static

A direct interaction with a melody and acompaniment is necessary

The workflow is now that you get a melody for the songsections be made outside HN2

It also a complicated piece of software a melodygenerator

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But t should be enough to get in musical notes as input in HN2 ... for melodytrack.. the repetition and variation techniques for melody notes must be done by the composer himself

Than converted in a "figure"and ready for action in HN2!

Perhaps with the new automatic installer there is a way to compose a melody in the DAW  directly connected with HN2 ?

With the coming automatic installer there i smaybe more interactivity possible with the melody tracks and the accompaniment tracks?

It seems to be a technical complicated issue( s i read about this in the blog of developer Andre) .. midi data from HN2 to DAW and the aother way around

If it should work than you can setup a songstructure in your daw like in HN2

But most important a melody track.. composed in the DAW and feed back in HN2 for composing with th eaccompaniment

Suppose this should not work( stability), than the must be added in HN2 a melody track noteroll editor ( 1 octave)

On this way you can add to the songsections the melody track and compose directly right away

The noteroll melody track could be placed above the songsection

Note:

- more than one melody ?

- you can add also harmony to the melody ( not accompaninent harmony )

------------------------------------------------------------------

is there enough room for this in HN2 melody track?

The workflow for melodies is to record them to a melody instrument using an external keyboard. A piano roll editor is good for corrections, but starting a new melody from scratch is hard (rhythm etc).

You can selectively overdub portions of a recorded melody.
