Some chords in "pro" palette seem to be missing in "spark" palette

Posted

Hi,

I'm currently playing with the demo version of synfire and realized that some chords in the "pro" palette seem to be missing in the spark one.

Is it on purpose or do I miss something I should do in order to add / display them ?

example : in natural minor key, the third degree has a very nice maj7(13) chord that I can't find in the spark version

Best,

Matthieu

Layout >> Reset Filter should show all available chords.

Sparks comes with a simplified built-in catalog of interval structures, but that doesn't prevent you from adding any imaginable chord to a palette with Layout >> Settings >> Added Chords.

Thanks,

Looks like "all available chords" doesn't mean the same thing in spark vs other versions : in layout settings, extended & extend + user defined catalogs are greyed out in spark.

Yes, Sparks defaults to a simplified set of chords which you can extend in a palette manually. Express and Pro even have an app to edit and extend the catalog of interval structures as you see fit.
