Wel... I'm an official user of Synfire now :) Got a nice black box from UPS last friday.
My first problem : How to start a song in a certain key?
When I make a new container and in harmony, template -> I, iv, V , the generated chords are all in the key in C.
I know I can change the chords with the context menu, but there must be a way to start in the right key, no ?

Rony, the key is part of each harmonic context (chord block) in a progression. If an entire progression is supposed to play in one key, select all chords, then select "Estimate Key, Relations and Scales" from the Vector menu and pick the desired key. Alternatively, you can set the key for each chord individually using the "Key" button in the progression editor.
Be sure you disable "Auto-Correction" in the progression editor, if you feel Synfire messes with your key settings to much.
