Links in e-mails do not take you to the specific post in a thread.
Both the general topic link (https://users.cognitone.com/content/conversion-static-symbols-dynamic-s…) and the one that seems like it should take you to the post the e-mail refers to (https://users.cognitone.com/content/conversion-static-symbols-dynamic-s…) take you to the first post on the first page.
This is a minor inconvenience increased in a multi-page thread.
Surely, the second link with the number, i.e., "comment-14131" is intended to take you directly to the indicated post reported in the e-mail?
This may be working correctly in other browsers, but not in the version of Firefox I am using.

Yes, better is to have a number for the thread as i have used in a another forum ( i noticed this shortcoming on this forum earlier )
On this way you can refer always to the specific post with a number link.

Hmmmm ... am I losing my mind? Wait! Don't answer!
Anyway, on the most recent e-mail from Janamdo, clicking on the numbered thread worked!
Maybe it has already been fixed?

Nope ... Jan's next e-mail went back to the first entry.
Maybe it is a multipage thread thing? It worked when there was only one page ... but not when there were multiple pages in the thread.

It seem to work only once. After that the comment is no longer new.

Aha ... odd behavior, but now that I know I should be able to use it better.
It just worked for me right now.
Thanks.
