Hi,
In Synfire 2.4.4 Build #3, this picture summarizes my experience so far:
Library phrase preview was working reliably fine here in the prior build, but not in this one.
I can send a video if necessary

Used this all day with no problems. Did you check sounds and container selection?

OK, step-by-step ...
I think I observed something today about how the Link works that I was not clear about before.
Can you confirm correctness of what I've written in the picture?

That's correct. It links to the selected instrument on the structure page.

Thanks.
Now a question -
When auditioning phrases from a library in place of a given snippet, I can let the playback run, select new phrases and hear them live.
Is there a way, while the playback still runs, to go back to hearing the original phrase in the snippet?
IOW, I want to directly A/B audition any library phrase against the original. Can I do that?

The original phrase is restored when you select a different place in the grid or stop playback.

Thanks.
What I am seeing when I select a different place in the snippets grid is that the original snippet, which was part of a snippets memory I was playing back, gets a) turned off, and b) deleted from the snippets memory.
So, it's hard for me to see this behavior as helpful or correct - but are you observing differently?
If necessary, I could make a video.
Suggestion: Turning off the speaker would be a way to end the realtime phrase substitutions and restore the original.

The original snippet ID should be restored. Obviously it creates a new one. That's a bug.
Your suggestion is fine. Very good indeed.

Fixed this. An update will be published when the next tutorial is finished. Making tutorials is one of the best QA opportunities and it usually uncovers additional bugs.

Sounds good!
Will Kim be delivering the new tutorial? ;^)
