Hi.
I'm noticing that the Loop Container right-click operation does not seem to work as I am expecting (remembering?).
IOW, it doesn't cause the container to loop.
The orange vertical line does move to the front of the selected container, but the time span of the container only gets ghost-highlighting (rather than full blue-line highlighting), and playback proceeds onward past the end of the container without looping.

Getting this to operate smoothly in realtime, as the mute and solo now do, would be very nice.

Thanks, fixed already. If there are more issues we can add them to a patch scheduled for tonight.
A loop needs to be set before playback starts though. Loops can't currently be set or changed when playback is already running. This is due to the way how Synfire compiles output from parameters and sends it to the separate audio process. When Synfire will eventually become a single monolithic process, we can do more DAW-like things like dynamic loops, recording inside a loop, etc.

Dont know of the patch already released but the pointer changes and locks up too frequently. I see this has been an old issue but if your prioritizing workflow items now. Please, please look into this.
One thing i realize is when i change parameters on a track, the mouse tool changes as well. I have to keep switching back to the last tool i had selected...sometimes it freezes and i have to click in the track editor for it to update. Please put out a patch for this

You mean the mouse pointer image becomes out of sync with the view it is hovering over? Like when the line drawing or span selection tool shows up while you are hovering over a completely unrelated view?
That issue has annoyed me for years. It's a flaw in the UI library we use.

Yes! Can there be a fix in this? If so, can we get a realistic timeline?

Not sure if it will be 100% waterproof but next build may fix this already

When Synfire will eventually become a single monolithic process, ...
The Creator has a Master Plan ... :^)

This plan has been in the drawer for years. A lot of code is already ported to C++ (it can even be done semi-automatically). However, finishing the monolithic application also is a monolithic task during which not much else can be done.
