Hi,
I downloaded the demo version of Harmony Navigator - pretty neat. It was about to expire so I deleted it. But the Shortcut is still on my desktop, and when I try and delete it I get the message, 'No longer located in C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Harmony Navigator.Ink'.
When I deleted HN I deleted it permanently - I didn't just move it to the recycle bin.
It's a little annoying. Any clues about how to get rid of it? Will downloading HN again, and then deleting the Shortcut before deleting HN, work?
Any advice would be appreciated. I use Vista Home Premium.
Many Thanks,
J

Did you use the downloaded installer to uninstall? The error message suggests that Windows messed with the shortcut somehow. The installer removes it. I'm not very familiar with Vista. If there is a way to cleanup yor desktop from orphaned files or something, you might want to try that.
Otherwise, a clean install and uninstall should do no harm.

Many thanks Supertonic. Yes, I did use the downloaded installer to uninstall, but it left the shortcut on my desktop. I spent about an hour trying different things, but the solution was (embarassingly) simple. I just had to right click on the desktop (not the icon) and choose 'Refresh' ... lesson learned. I was very impressed with Harmony Navigator, and even more so with Synfire - truly a 'clever' piece of software. Many thanks for the feedback.
