I'm making a song with quintuplet swing.
Create the beat in my daw with midi.
Export it to midi and import to synfire.
Once in synfire I extract the rythmn.
I will create a new instrument and copy the rythmn from the imported drum track and experiment until something cool happens.
Then I will experiment with different ideas to get a bassline, keys, ... to play with the groove.
I noticed with the quintuplet swing, synfire seems to be having some difficulties, sounding a little too wonky.
Maybe it's my limited experience or perhaps synfire just doesn't do well with quintuplets.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
And if so, I would love to hear your approach or let me know if there are limitations of synfire.
Thanks!

To be honest, I've never used quintuplets myself, but will look into it.
If you can point me to a music example similar to what you have in mind, that would be helpful in assessing whether or not it works as indended.
