Dieses Problem wurde uns berichtet im Zusammenhang mit Cubase und dem EastWest PLAY System (EWQL). Es kann möglicherweise auch mit anderen Plug-ins, Sound Libraries und DAWs auftreten.
Wenn PLAY innerhalb einer oder mehrerer Drohnen in Cubase verwendet wird, kann es passieren, dass hängende Noten auftreten (Noten bleiben hängen, hören nicht auf zu spielen). Das heißt, offene Noten klingen weiter, nachdem der Transport bereits gestoppt wurde. Dieses Problem tritt in der Synfire Audio Engine nicht auf. Es scheint mit Synfire überhaupt nichts zu tun zu haben.
This video demonstrates from scratch the steps to relocate a VSTi (here: Halion Sonic) from a Synfire Engine to a drone hosted at the DAW (here: Cubase).
As you can see in the video it is necessary to set the sound categories and the sound names before you can relocate the VSTi since otherwise the 'relocate' button is greyed out.
Note: Due to an issue at my sound setup the screen capture program did only record the sound from the Synfire Engine but not the sound from the drone at Cubase. That's only an issue at the video. In reality the sound was there.
The term "MIDI Drone" means that the Drone does not host the VST instrument itself (what's the usual way to use the drones) but only receives MIDI data from Synfire which then can be routed to a VSTi, which is directly hosted at the DAW. This is an alternative to regular Drones in such cases in which a VSTi can not be hosted at the drone itself for any reason.
