Arranging voicing without extensions and more...

Posted
Hi guys,   I was wondering if there is a way, where I can use different voicings/inversions for different instruments without using extensions of the harmony. Like regular triads. Cmajor, Aminor, instead of Cmaj7 or Amin9.   I know there is an option when I use extensions  but I am wondering if there is an option for regular triads.   Each instrument would use a inversion for better arrangement and mixing.   Another feature I am missing is to find out inside Syfire each note of the harmony or melody is playing without the need to export the midi.   Thanks.

That's what layers are for and the Layer parameter. In the progression editor, split up big chords into smaller units by adding layers. Each layer will use a sub-chord of the big chord.

Then in your arrangement, set per each instrument in the Layer paramer, which of the layers (1-4) it is supposed to play.

Switch to the Interpretation parameter. If Interpretation uses Auto-Chords, you can see them there.

Thanks André.

I was wonderig if we could use intervals as well not only chords, like powerchords for instance.

Those options could show on the pick chord option.

Base harmony Cmaj7.

Piano base harmony.

Guitar C5

Rhythm Guitar C-G-B as ostinato.

I was hoping you would say "wait for the next major update which will include the much discussed read-only piano roll" :admire:
