Assign library sounds

Posted

Isn't it more convenient to have your own library global rack allocation for the library sounds?
Just like with the instruments that can be labeled with A,B, etc
I do have a lot of global racks.

Yes, I want to be able to see in the rack list an easy distinction between library racks and arrangement racks, that would give a better overview and handling.

Very hidden this library rack feature : not eye-catching
I would make a menu entry in the jump menu where a sound also can be assigned to a folder of phrases with : go to library racks , then you can't miss it.

In the standalone Library window the rack can be opened on the toolbar.

In the Arrange window it is less obvious, that's correct.

Not sure if it's a good idea to add yet another tab permanently. There are already nine! It is rare that you need to edit a library rack manually. The sound wizard adds plug-ins as needed and when you add a phrase to the library, it asks you whether you want to also copy the rack module and sound.

I started with an external library and loaded the piano examples into it.
Then I got the idea to assign a different sound than the piano.
Right clicking on a folder showed me : assign sound, but it turned out to be difficult and cluttered to assign an arrangement rack directly appeared and then the idea of my own library rack screen came up.

Did not see any indication anywhere in the screen that a library rack assignment would be possible, yes now the symbol does look like racks stacked.
The button shows no meaning ( only open embedded help...)

You can also drop that button and add a new tab with the other : editor, harmonizer, figure recognition....  Library Rack ... can be seen immediately and nothing needs to be remembered.
