I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I wasn't having this problem at first, but now am.
I've imported a midi song, and I leave most of the parts on 'static' cause I want song to be close to orginal..
I then add some additional parts, I add an 4 bar riff that consists of 2 different 2 bars riffs from a library I made up. I decided to 'thin it out' so I cut out bars 2 - 4. Problem is I still hear the original part. When I look at take window, it displays only the one bar riff, same when I look at the take window. When in the take window, i "extract from take' there is the original 4 bars of 2 different riffs..
In desperation I cut container down to one bar long to get rid of notes at measure 3, when I extended container again. I had a 4 bar container with the part only playing in measure one, when I play the song however, SFP now thought the instrument riff was one bar long, and kept repeating every bar, even though it show up as one measure of notes, and 3 measures of silence..
After I tried twice, program locked up.
This has really got me stumped...
On quitting and rebooting this problem sometimes going away.. not sure of what i'm doing wrong. or is it a gremlin?
thanx.

To me this sounds like you might have overlooked a take or figure that is inherited from a higher level container? Also keep in mind that a take contributes nothing to your music directly. It's a temporary workspace used to recognize and create a figure.
