Hi,
Easy Drummer & Superior Drummer offer good sounding, easy-to-create entire song drumming.
Unf. when used this way with Synfire (playing along via Follow Host) , Synfire has no control of Pause, Mute, or Volume.
Since these are plugins, hosted by the Synfire audio engine (?), why can't there be control of Pause, Mute, or Volume?
is control of Pause, Mute, or Volume something that might be possible in the future?

Pause temporarily skips Figure segments (if their anchor position is within a paused span). That's not an audio controller.
Mute is a global Pause per track. It merely skips all Figures but doesn't mute the audio signal, because there may be multiple instruments on the same plug-in.
Audio automation is possible only per plug-in. With multi-instrument plug-ins this can be very confusing. Therefore we haven't enabled it yet.
Volume is a MIDI CC which an instrument may or may not respond to. Most plug-ins allow MIDI CCs to be learned and applied to output volume.
