Apparently, the Factory doesn't generate the answer.

Check the step and units tabs. They may be too wide to take effect or segments not selected as a unit

I tried changing the settings in every possible way, including rolling dice. No luck. You even end up with frankly embarrassing results.

If anyone can post here the .cognac file of a working question & answer structure... thanks in advance!
