New coloring schemes for palettes that suggesting the degree of "happy vs. sad" the next chord will sound if it follows the currently playing chord. Or other emotional spectra like friendly vs. ominous, etc.

:D
Whether a series of chords is perceived happy or sad depends on many other factors: Melody, tempo, instrumentation, voice, words, etc.
I've seen progressions all in Major that sounded sad and others with almost every chord in Minor that were lively and motivating. The only way to tell if some song is sad or not is to listen to the final result.
However, if you know a formula that can tell sad from happy -- let me know!
P.S: The Fragility scheme does resemble this effect to some extent.

 Maybe some massive experiment involving using mechanical turks is in order... the results of how a small chord progression "makes them feel" could be fed into a neural net... do this a couple of million times and *voila*, we've got a formula.
OK, maybe I'm just thinking out loud here.
