It is on your credit that i could get the flowplayer working.
Chapter 15 (Harmony for computermusicians) is dealing with Suspended and Added note chords ..a extension of the common triads. The C6 and Cadd9 are 4 note chords and combination of these are for example: C6add9 is a 5 note chord.
C6add9 should deliver 4 triads ? .. look at the video how to do this with the subtriads functionality in the coloring menu for the pallette..below a testexample--> the pallette shows 8 triads !
C6add9 (C,Csus2,Dsus4,Dsus2,Gsus2,Gsus4,Asus4 and Am)--> how to pick out 4 chords (what selection criterion ) for the layer feauture in Synfire Pro and 4 instrument tracks(or more) for Synfire Express ? Below is choosen by Codetronx -C -Csus2 -Gsus2 -Am
The pallette shows 4 columns for the C6add9 chord ( i start with a major scale (C.major.v2 inthe pallette )--> you can pick out a chord form each column and start with a bass note of the Chord C6add9 : C --> why Codetronx choose Csus2 ? ( a chord what not much differ from the C triad ?) By choosing C and Csus2 and the other chords you use 3 columns ( there are 4 of them : orange color?: in the menu for coloring i use only the option: subtriads .. ) of the pallette and there is a another distribution of the chords and instruments.
Interesting to experiment (also for the major scale in the pallette) for a C6 chord: ( 2 triads) and a C9 chord (6 triads) and compare this with a C6add9 chord ( 8 triads ) If you look at the C9 chord --> 4 colums and evenly distributed ( C, Edim, Gm and A#(b5) )---> BUT now i see a problem in the pallette --i selected the C major scale in the pallette. A#(b5)..A# is a chromatic note and the scale i choose is the Cmajor ..this A#(b5) is not a chord belonging to the C major scale. So there must be a restriction that the pallette must show only chords belonging to that scale.--> scale membership as option in the pallette coloring menu But than how many triads are left than for a C6add9 chord if i choose scale membership and subtriads and Cmajor scale ? .. now i got 3 orange triads ( 8 orange triads with a major scale without scale membership ) and 5 yellow triads Try out --Major scale/melodic-major and harmonic-major .. You are restricted for the key you want compose and what triads you get from this Example: if you choose C6add9 and use c major scale with scale membership-> how many triads you can get from this C6add9 chord? Do i miss something?
You can try out the example of Codetronx on the keyboard with "live chord detection" .. how to record the 4 chords easily?--> by live recording or manual as phrase I forget the manual method for chord input with numbers -- select chordsymbol ?
