How to get rhythm of one instrument to a section instruments

Posted

I added a extra instrument for purpose to use his rhythm for a whole section of instruments

I copied the phrase parameter of the extra instrument  and select the section instruments ( one by one with Ctrl..without the extra instrument ) for the needed measures and paste the figure parameter in the phrase parameter slots

Does now the section has the rhythm of the extra instrument..is there a better way doing this?

Another question for this related to the rhythm question above

---------------------------------------

Also i do have Cubase audio in sync with Synfire and it works for the transport now.

A new feature for Synfire ?????????????????

Is it possible to get the Harmonizer in sync with the audiotrack in Cubase ? .. that is when i click on the Harmonizer position of the chord..cubase pointer must that start again in the audio track.

I made a midi track from the audio what serves as a guide track.

It is the other way around... fitting a audio file to a yamaha style ..but maybe it  is too loose

Maybe better to start first with the audio and adjust the yamaha style to it ?

I don't know which if us is right but normally when I want to use the rythem from a figure I snap shot the rythem parameter then copy the resulting parameter to the other instruments. Haven't checked to see if just dragging the figure itself produces the same result.

On your other issue, check you have full sync via rewire transport and not just midi clock. If you start playback 1/2 way through a tune in synfire, your daw should start at the same point.

Doesn't the "Paste Rhythm" command do what you want? (see the video at the Wiki)

Yes, it works .. i did only a 4  measures section and if it is applied to the other instruments seen by litting of the rhythm parameter of each individual instrument.
