Hi
When you import a midi file in synfire appears the import window:
And in the upper is SMF Information
The title of the midi file for example hola.mid
Tempo: Signature: Offset: Length: Key:
100 4/4 0m 1m ?
In the Length if i put the mouse cursor over it says (Duration of span to import) ok the midi file imagine has 4m and i want to import only the first 1m
I write in Length 1m and when is imported the midi file has the original 4m not 1m
I have tested with several midi files and they are not affected but this 1m
Is necessary to do another thing to import is as 1m (for example) ?
As you can see in the gif video the change in the length does not affect to the midi file imported and the real midi file imported has more than 4 bars
-Another thing
In the import midi window if i select the midi file in the tracks field and press the play button (to the rigth of the stop button) does not sound the midi file but when i import it in the library window yes sounds when i select it
What must i do to hear the midi file in the import window before to import it in synfire?
Cheers

The length limit has a bug that will be fixed with the next update. If it is of any help, using an offset > 0 will not show this bug. So if you can import the 2nd measure instead, it should work.
As for the sounds, try the "General Midi" switch.
