The Strum Factory as currently configured is serviceable at best. Ultimately, the output sounds too stiff, not at all like how a human guitar player performs. Human players add a bit of "randomness" inadvertently because they do not play all the strings all the time, which it sounds like what the Strum factory does.
Of course, I realize how difficult it is to emulate guitar playing. It's probably the main reason it's taken so long for a company like Toontrack to come up with a satisfactory guitar VST.
In addition to sounding stiff, I've notice that a lot of the rhythms I generate sound very similar. Not as much variety as I would like. If it is possible, it would like to see some improvements with this factory.
