nested container versus stacked container ?

Posted

What is the difference between those 2 container configurations for the order of the parameter processing in SFP?
As i understand it well..parameterprocessing goes from bottom to top container?..so i snapshot of a vector in the bottom container is a parent vector and for the container below a child vector ( inheritance)

In what case i should use nested container and in what case free containers ?
I try to find for this a musical example ..examine this with a simple musical experiment

Nested container will stay together when you drag them along the timeline at the arrangement.

Note that containers that are not nested one into another may change its vertical order when you drag one of them along the timeline. The vertical order of the containers is chosen automatically by Synfire. The following rule is used: "The container that starts later will be placed under the container that starts earlier". As you pointed out correctly, the vertical order of the containers is important for the musical result as it determines the order of inheritance of the parameters.
