Hi.
I wonder if someone could advise me on the subject of using NI Kontakt Bass instruments with Synfire.
For example, take Session Bassist Upright Bass (which is representative):

The issue I'm having is that the MIDI output from my Synfire bass instrument, which currently is actual note data only, is triggering either patterns or articulation changes when the notes are below the blue zone as shown.
IOW, note data is being interpreted as metadata when I do not want it to be.
What can I do about it?
P.S. When I send to a "normal" non-NI instrument, like a standard synth patch, there is no issue it "just plays". That's what I want here, but using the NI instrument.

Hi, SJ1
I often use kontakt and what you have to do is to use transpose or chromatic slider so you is in key of playrange of the instrument.

You just found the reason why playing ranges and articulations exist ;-)
Set the playing ranges to cover only playable notes. Add articulations that trigger the different playing styles.
Preferably you would create a device description with these settings (per sound) so you can later reuse them.
