no playback of sounds in arrangement rack

Hi,

When selecting/creating an instrument in the 'sounds' -> 'arrangement rack'  tab, I cannot hear it play. Midi is coming in (the playing ranges keyboard's keys lights up), but I keep hearing the last selected sound in the arrangement itself. If I use the ranges keyboard itself here with the mouse, again I see that the keys are pressed, but no sound is played.

When I select/assign the same instruments in the arrangement itself, I do get immediate playback. Also when playing the ranges keyboard there with the mouse.

In the audio and midi setup menu, I've tried various combinations of ticking/unticking the tickboxes (input, loopback, midi trought, use audio engine for midi input), but to no avail.

Im using loopMIDI virtual midi cables (loopback tickboxes enabled). VST instruments are loaded in the Audio Engine (v 1.11.1), Synfire 1.7.6b9, W7x64.

I don't believe I had the same issue in the previous version of Synfire (1.7.5).

Anyone else familiar with this problem, or any advice?
