Parameter chances in velocity, volume ..in what screen to perform ?
In the arrangement screen not for the figures , because there are no values to see for parameters
So all parameter chances must be made in the Phrase editor via the phrase double click in the arrangement screen.
But than you have in the arrangement screen a switch: display selected parameter instead of always showing the figure
This shows the vectorlines..and when a green parameter box is lit (burning) than i know also a vectorline is involved
So parameter vectorlines must be drawn in the phrase editor of a phrase ...
Can there be added a new knob : drawing vectorlines in phrase editor ?
Or can the switch : display selected parameter (1) , show figure (2) be extended with a third choice: display seelcted parameter in phrase editor ?

I cant remember the extact option and Im not near my synfire computer, but if you select the velocity parameter and right click there are options to extract from output/figure. This then gives you the ability to edit in the arangement view. Can do this for most parameters, but might need to click one of the buttons above the parameter inspectors that enables all paramteres to be edited in the arrangement. Also check out hyperedit mode.
If you cant find these options post back here and Im sure someone will give you a more accurate explaination, failing that Ill check next time I fire up synfire and post back.

Thanks Blacksun!
I hope to clear up how to deal with parameters vectorlines
Gives the possibility to edit in arrangement view values for the parameter( scale )

Double-click on the parameter block to switch between figure and parameter visibility.

Here is a little video that shows these steps.

Ok, i can see a parameter visual, but nothing i can further do with it. ( there are no values)
Where to construct the vectorlines in Synfire ?
And is it handy to draw velocity or volume (etc) line between the symbols ... it is very confusing ( i think in Cubase it is better )
I don't like this mixed all ..i hope this will be improved to make easy curves for expression what follows the symbol movement as example and the vectorline must be seperated from the symbol.
I think this is design mistake..and i don't have still no answer where to draw the vectorline.. i am sorry..cannot handle this.
There is no easy adding expression to the symbols ...it is now a mixed roster full of symbols of a intercepting vectorline and symbols.. my brain cannot handle this

jan, I can see very few differences between your cubase image and the one from synfire by jurgen: the velocity is displayed at the bottom of the 'track' in cubase but overlaid in the synfire one, cubase has a velocity parameter for each note, but in synfire you can do that but you dont have to, for example to create a creshendo, just make two points, one at the start, low, and one at the end, high.
Check out the gestault tool to make curves.
That editing scheme works with most parameters.
You can copy the parameter between different parameters, ie, extract the velocity and drag it to the mod wheel to perhaps control a filter cutoff.
You can manipulate the data in many ways with all the synfire parameter edit tools, (flip, reverse, transpose, etc).
Untick the button that gets ticked at the start of the 'video' and then you only see one one (selected) parameter.

I cannot handle a vectorline and symbols mixed together in roster like in Synfire.
I get confused by intercepting vectorline and symbol..too much information and thinking on the interpretation.
For me it is not logical ..i must see the symbol movement and the vectorline movement seperated.

How about using the pencil tool?

I think it is a design mistake to mix a vectorline with symbols and i know how to make this vectorline ( pencil tool ), but it is not clear in what screen to do this ( i like to see a value )
I don't understand why you want to confuse your customers ? ..really disappointing
Mixing a vectorline with symbols has no advantage.. it makes it unnecessary complicated

For classical composing i like to see the volume / expression parameterline below the (note) symbols
The paramater line and symbols are divided : the reason for this is that it is easier to apply volume variations on the symbol flow.
On this way it is more easy to add expression to a track ( important in classical composing )
For example https://soundcloud.com/janamdo/tenesse this composition is worthless without a precise control of the volume parameter what controls the soundvolume of the notes.
