I don't know maybe this is expected, but it does seem inconsistent to me. I have a root container and several sub, and sub sub containers. When I highlight a container I see the chord progression of that container. All except the root container, which has only some of the progression. And when I do File-> Convert -> Create Progression it gives all of the containers as menu drop down choices, but the root one has a subset, not the full chord progression it should. Shouldn't the root container always display ALL of the chord progression? Is it possible to get it messed up - in display - but it plays fine because as soon as you hit play, the view switches to each sub container's chord progression

The ultility File -> Convert -> Create Progressions is intended for collecting all progressions found anywhere in an arrangement for archiving purposes.
The function is rather for convenience and is not critical. The current way it is implemented can easily be changed.
You are suggesting to archive snapshots of the chronological global progression per container as rendered for playback.
We could also just copy a global progression snapshot to the clipboard. The user is then free to paste it anywhere as needed.
What exactly were you trying to do with the progressions? It would be helpful to understand your workflow.
