Is there a way to use the "record parameter directly" function to record one controllers as another?
Could I say record breath data into the mod cc?
If not that would be a nice feature at some point,especially if it was sent out that way for midi-through preview.

Yes, that works. You can use any controller to generate data that will be recorded into the currently selected parameter. You can even use the keyboard to, for example, record volume or velocity (or any parameter you like).
Only in normal phrase recording mode, midi controller data goes to their respective original parameters.

Weird. I ran two tests, in clean test projects and both times it didn't work.
I just tried a third time and now it seems to be working, quite consistently.
Fantastic! I can't imagine what I was doing wrong.
This feature will be very useful.
I'll keep an eye on it to see if the issue returns.
