split figures in different tracks

Good question, because i use Synfire Express and do want to know this too

Synfire Pro has the Split and Merge features.  Express does currently not. However, you can also do this by selecting all symbols of the current type (see: Transform menu) and cut & paste these to other instruments. Or you can duplicate an instrument and delete unwanted symbols by type.

Symbols on the clipboard can be added to a figure with Edit >> Paste and Merge

Easier symbol separation is on the agenda for editor improvements anyway.
