Symbols in Phrase

Posted

There are a couple of symbols in the phrase window that I don't understand and I didn't find it in the manual.

- What does a '>' mean above a note ?

- What does a '+' mean above a note ?

- What does a coloured triangle under a note means ?

And the next obvious question, how can I set or remove these ?

Thanks for bringing this up here. Reminds me of adding it to the next edition of the user manual.

The annotations "+" and "-" denote the chromatic component of a symbol, similar to accidentals in traditional notation.

A ">" indicates the "Look Ahead" switch is on for that segment.

The colored triangle indicates the target playing range of the segment, if it is not the default range. That is, if a bass segment does not use the lower range, it will show either a triangle on top (upper), or to the left (middle) range.

These annotations are not yet final. The symbol notation is still evolving.
