Just upgraded from Synfire2 Pro to 3. Cannot install the new version on Windows 11. Always getting "Are you sure that you want to cancel installation [yes/no]" When clicking no then it returns to the start page of the dialog, when I click continue the same game repeats. When I click "yes" then the installer exits. I didn't click on cancel or anything during any step in the installation.

Defender intercepts and blocks some of the installation.
You need to unblock Synfire ((https://users.cognitone.com/solution/download-blocked)). This will also whitelist it with Microsoft. Other users will not run into this issue that often then.

We renewed our code signing certificate a few weeks ago. Microsoft may take a few weeks to flag it clean after enough users have unblocked it

Ok, all good. Perhaps instead of showing a confusing "Are you sure that you want to cancel installation" dialog it would be better to show a dialog that mentions that the application needs unlocking and how to do that.
Then the program is prepared for the next certificate renewal :)
