Does the option to unauthorize a computer appear after one initates the uninstall of the program ??? I have another program which doesn't really require the entire removal of the software to "park " that installation .
I've looked in support and the manual .... I don't see anything in the menus from inside the program so I'm assuming that I must initiate an uninstall to get to the dialog for this ?

You don't need to uninstall. Use the menu Help >> Activate/Deactivate. Alternatively you can run the downloaded installation files again which will offer you the deactivation option.
